**If you enjoyed Dust to Dust (which I really hope you did!) I’d love for you to consider checking out my legacy story, Ashes to Ashes, which follows Krysti’s son/Lucas’ grandson Alex as we continue to explore the lives of the descendants of the Ainsworth family. It is not a traditional legacy (it’s entirely plot-driven) but is a legacy in that the story spans many generations ^_^**
Author’s Note: We did it, guys! We finished! And I say “we” because this journey was just as much yours as it was mine!
I don’t think I have the right words to express how much it means to me that you took the time to read my story. This all began as a fun little project to keep me occupied over the summer, and it turned into something so much more. Dust to Dust is both the best and longest thing I have ever written, and I could not be more proud of this accomplishment. And the fact that some wonderful people out there took the time to read this story that means so much to me, well… It’s just incredible. So thank you. Seriously. From the bottom of my heart.
I have a couple of quick shout-outs before we finish here! Firstly, shoutout to Munterbacon (click his name to read his awesome blog!) for making Evelyn’s husband (without even knowing who he was making!). I asked him to make a sim for me (with very vague specifications) and he totally delivered, so THANK YOU!
Also big shoutouts to KitDragonFlight and JoieWilder (again, click for their blogs!) for giving me some help/advice on some plot details along the way. You guys helped so much! A special shoutout to OJenn for letting me vent and freak out to her basically daily as I wrote this! She was a constant companion during this journey, so thank you!
And perhaps the biggest thank you of all goes to the amazing ra3rei, who offered me SO MUCH help and guidance during the last several chapters of my story. She inspired me with so many wonderful ideas, helped me talk things out as I worked out plot details, and put up with random and frantic “Oh no, what do I do about this chapter!” messages at all hours of the day. You are wonderful and I owe you immensely!
And lastly, thank YOU (I know I already did that, but it’s worth doing it again!) for reading my story. I appreciate your support SO much. If you are reading this, I would really love it if you would leave me a comment on this post — I don’t need any long, glowing review or anything. Just a quick “hello” so that I can take the time to thank you individually for taking this journey with me. Whether you are reading this the day it’s posted or weeks or months later, I still care and would love to be able to show you some gratitude. Because you are amazing.
It’s been one heck of a ride… Thanks for coming along! So much love to all of you. ❤
As someone who is also hoping to write a sunlit (starting off as a legacy story for right now but may change (ideas flowing in this English Majors head hah). I really enjoyed reading this entire story for the past 4 hours. Is there a way I can download the house off the gallery?

Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it ❤️ (and good luck with your own story too!)
The Ainsworth house was one I did download from the gallery (I didn’t make it myself) but I can’t remember what it was called 😦 Maybe next time I’m in game I can check!

Wauw.. I started to read this hours ago and I jus’t couldn’t stop. What a beautiful story! The way you invest in the characters and really understand what ther are feeling. The sims has never felt so personal to me. You should write real books!!
I’m sorry if my writing in english isn’t correct. I’m from the Netherlands myself.
I really loved this one. Is dust to dust a follow up for this one or is Alex the only character where the story goes on about?
This was perfect-

Thank you so much! I’m so glad you took the time to read, and that you enjoyed it so much ❤️❤️❤️
Ashes to Ashes follows Alex and his descendants, but otherwise it’s not connected to this story. It’s like a spin-off 🙂
Thank you again! ❤️❤️❤️ It means a lot to me that you enjoyed my story.

It’s in the middle of the night here. I have to get up in like 3 hours haha! Your story was keeping me awake. No really you did a great job. Especially the photo only ending.
Maybe I will start reading this other story tomorrow, but when I have to work it’s not a great idea. Hahaha I started reading it at 9 in the evening and now it’s like 4 in the morning / night.
Thankyou for the quick reply and have a nice day! Xx

Hello! I just finished Dust to Dust and I love this story! I can’t tell you how attached I grew to these Sims! When Mel passed away I was bawling! My best friend happened to call right after I read that chapter. Trying to explain it to him made me cry harder! I absolutely loved the epilogue! What a great way to give us a glimpse of the “after” the story part. I am so excited to continue reading your works. You are a very talented writer! Thank you for sharing your stories!
